Quality Inn Latrobe Convention Centre

Just spent two nights at this motel - had a family room 23. Beds were very uncomfortable - we all had sore backs. WI-FI was shocking either no connection or dropped out continuously. Bathroom door wouldn't open properly and no lock - toilet roll holder hanging off wall. Was clean enough.

ROOM 21 - BEWARE IF YOU STAY IN IT What a real disappointment this accomodation was!! ROOM 21 - “IT WAS TERRIBLE” We spent the night in this unit - (ROOM 21) There were just so many things broken in this room. There was so much maintenance needed in this room to fix up the many items that either needed to be fixed up or replaced. After a long day of travelling (on a road trip holiday) I was really looking forward to a nice relaxing warm shower. Well on entering the bathroom I first noticed the mismatched bathroom taps on the hand basin. There was also a broken drawer handle on the top drawer of the vanity unit. The handles on the drawers of the vanity unit were rusted as well. The basin plug was so badly perished and it really needed replacing. The towel rail had been badly fixed onto the wall (looks like it had fallen off the wall at some point and they had tried to reattach it) and the towel rail was also broken on one end. Then the fun began in the shower, warm water for just about 1 minute then after that there was only cold water. There was NO hot water at all. As I already had shampoo on my hair I had no choice but to stay in the cold shower and rinse it off with cold water. Again there was NO hot water when my husband had his shower in the morning. Getting out of the shower then presented another problem, the door handle on the inside of the shower door was broken off and no longer there. As for the other broken things in the room such as the foot press on the rubbish bin was broken off, the remote for the air conditioner wouldn't fit into the holder on the wall. There were no shelves in the fridge door and the freezer door was frozen solid shut which didn't allow us to put our ice pack into the freezer. The shelf above the very old and yellowed colour microwave was also broken. The door chain on the front door was broken and missing and the door lock on the sliding door was also broken. It didn't allow for a very restful sleep on the very hard mattress knowing that the door chain and also the lock on the sliding door were both broken. We noticed there were a lot of tradies staying at this motel accommodation and I do feel that they really do cater more so for them rather than the holiday travellers.

Room 21. We arrived to check in. Lady at reception didnt greet my partner and basically looked disinterested. Note the resturant is not open on weekend even though menu was in the room on the table. Golf club next door. Dont do meals on Saturday night and this motel is 3.8km from city centre. Room was very ordinary. No toilet roll holder, no chain lock, back slider lock faulty, no internet, really enjoyed my COLD shower this morning. Just what I needed when its 10 degrees outside. Pillow was rock hard as was bed. Bin opener broken. Tv crap. Couldnt get you tube or netflix to even load. Judging by previous reviews for room 21, it appears that absoloutley no improvements have been done, except some tiling around toilet. We will definitley not be coming back $140 for 1 night definetly needs to be better than that. I stay in Queen Victoria hotel in Melbourne right in the centre for $120. I dont imagine management could give a flying f@!k about this review. Just hope to help any other unsuspecting victim.
