Woody Island Eco Stays

Had stayed in Permanent tent here 6 years ago, was a lot better than this time. Management has let it run down, food and drinks on offer expensive for what they were. Toilets, camp kitchen dirty and tents neglected, generally pretty sadly presented this time. Staff helpful but all very unprofessional for the prices we paid to get there, stay and eat in the bar.

Stayed 3 nights in the limpet retreat tent. Stunning views, comfortable. The skipper and staff on the Island were very friendly and helpful. Good fishing from kayak, jetty and surrounding rock ledges. Great snorkeling, hiking and plenty of wildlife. Occasional visit from local sea lion. Good food and beer selection from the cafe/pub/restaurant (Black jacks)

We had a wonderful, relaxing time on Woody Island, with a view of nearby islands on the journey over, followed by a walking tour on island and really enjoyed the peaceful and unique environment. Snorkelling with a colourful array of fish, starfish, sea grasses and the local sea lion was a real highlight, alongside soaking in granite pools at Skinny Dip Bay and Twiggy’s Landing.
