Wave Rock Motel

We did not expect much of this hotel/motel as it is more or kess the only place to stay in a very small town, but the room 2 was actually rather nice with a nice bathroom and kitchen facilities. We believe it would be rather nice staying here in warmer weather and veing able to enjoy the outdoor facilities as well - however, we stayed 1 night in July and the room was freezing. We put the heating/airco to max (30 degrees!) but as it was placed about 2.5 m up high the heat never came down despite it being on for hours. So we had to sleep with our clothes on and having the extra blankets and whatever we could find to keep us warm. We decided that we were so cold that we would not even use the shower in the morning. This is the only reason for the low score

Perfectly located for the local attractions. Great atmosphere in the bar and restaurant. One of the bestbuffetdinners I've had for a long time ( With REAL coffee, not instant stuff) Spotlessly clean room and bathroom. Sheenagh, the owner, was a delight and obviously a local legend. She was also our tour guide and had vast knowledge of local history an attractions
