This hotel has great value in an expensive city. Are the rooms outdated? Yes. Are there missing or broken tiles in the bathroom? Yes. Was there tape on the glass of the balcony? Yes. But the price reflects these issues and I would stay here again especially because you are getting an apartment sytle room with kitchen/separate bedroom. The room was very clean (cleaner than may 4/5 star hotels I've stayed at). The bed was one of the most comfortable I've slept in and the linens/pillows were top quality. Loved the ceiling fan as a/c bothers my sinuses so this was a great alternative. Only suggestion is deep cleaning of some of the interior doors around the handles. Short walk to CBD. It's an ageing property but management obviously focusses on what they can. Major issue for many would be the highway noise. It didn't bother me as I used the ceiling fan for white-noise, but it definitely will be an issue for some.

Unfortunately I can not attach the stomach-turning stench that was in that room and I emphasize that from the photos of the window you can see that it was blocked by screws, so it was not even possible to open it to ventilate the room; the only way to let in some fresh air was to keep the front door wide open. You couldn't run the air conditioner because it was broken and above all very dirty, full of dust and rust. The cupboard unusable because full of dead insects. The kitchen was completely unusable: it was filthy, the sink and refrigerator rusty, not to mention the bathroom... a real toilet! STAY AWAY!!!

‘Don’t judge a book by its cover’ I booked my disabled client and myself into this hotel because it was local to the hospital. After a long day of driving from the country, attending appointments we arrived just after the office was closed for the day. Easy check in by ringing after hours number. We had room 207 and what a delight for the price. All freshly painted, furniture was new and well thought out. Kitchen fully equipped and spotless. Bathroom the same. Linen was clean and crisp and beds were comfortable. The only criticism I have that bed pillows were very flat and not enough of. Over all we had a very comfortable stay and wished we hadn’t been there on business because so much to explore around us.
