Romantik Hotel Post

Booked a stay months in advance with a request for a cot (child aged 1 year, age stated in the request and a separate note written in the booking to provide a cot). Due to bad traffic we arrived much later than originally intended. We emailed and called to report this. We were explained how a late check-in worked, but that someone would be present until 9 pm anyway to help. We arrived at 8:45 PM, and the woman at the desk clearly didn't want to check in so late. Once in the room, there was no baby crib to be found. We were so tired from the journey that we tried to put our son to bed. Unfortunately, he kept creeping away and it became unsafe. On the card we received, there was a number to call after 9 pm with questions or problems. We ended up with security who couldn't help and told us to go to the reception. We're changed, and down we go. No one to be found, only a sign that the reception was closed. Luckily there were still people around in the bar. When we approached them and explained that we had quite a big problem and our little child couldn't sleep, we were told that the bar and the restaurant did not belong to the hotel. When I then said that we had to leave and couldn't stay, a colleague fortunately reported that he knew where the cribs were and that he would bring them and inform the hotel staff. Eventually we could go to sleep around 10:30 PM. The next morning (at 8:30) there was almost no breakfast left to be found. There were no more cups, no spoons, no glasses. The buffet looked like it had been plundered. Some more eggs, vegetables, and a pancake. That was it. At check-out, there was no one at the reception again, but there was a bell. I clearly pulled the lady out of her smoke break and was greeted by rolling eyes. When I reported that we were checking out, only the amount was mentioned and the Bancontact device was shoved under my nose. Not even asked how the stay was, no apologies for the crib either. Nothing. If you know that one night costs more than €200, you expect at least professionalism and friendliness. It's possible we were unlucky, but this really shouldn't happen in our eyes. We will not come back then.

Very nice rooms. Cosy and stylish. Great food in the restaurant. Ideally located in the old city part. Friendly staff.

Very central location, standard room renovated and comfortable but rather basic for a 4-star hotel. Breakfast room a bit chaotic during peak hours
