Really great value in Vienna. I was.booked for a week, and extended my stay as it was such a great value. The room was fine, everything worked, and it was very clean. Nice size bathroom, and it was very quiet facing the inner courtyard. For the price, the room was spacious. Just a few very minor signs of age. The breakfast was excellent, but as a large hotel with many groups, breakfast can be hectic. The selection and quality were excellent. When I booked online, to get a rate including breakfast was only about $5 more than without breakfast, so look for that pricing. The best thing is the location. Just two stops to Karlsplatz on the metro, line runs almost 24 hours a day. And metro line 4 is the best line to get around for sightseeing. And the metro entrance is less than a minute walk from the hotel. Bus line 13A in front of the main metro entrance is direct to the main train station. Nearby are dozens of small restaurants of every type including McDonalds. There is also a Billa supermarket 3 minutes walk. A 9 night stay here, nothing to complain about. Similar hotels inside central Vienna are well over twice the price. So easy to take the metro here, a daily transportation pass is around 10 euros, or just 25 euros for 7 days.

I stayed in this hotel with my 13-year-old daughter for a four-day vacation at the end of August. The hotel is very far from the center and despite having a metro stop nearby, to reach the central districts we were always forced to take the metro with two or three transfers. Just outside the hotel there was roadwork that forced those who had to return to or leave the hotel to use a tunnel that was really scary at night. The icing on the cake on the last day, we forgot a box of chocolates in the room, purchased as a gift to bring to Italy; as soon as I realized it, I asked the receptionist to check the room, but she refused and even answered rudely. All the reception staff were, however, unhelpful and a bit rude from the very first day. A sincere compliment to the gentleman in the cloakroom who was always smiling and helpful. I do not recommend this hotel.
