Das.Goldberg

Wonderful hotel with super service, awesome view, we were very satisfied, the food was a dream, we were there at Easter :-) .

We had a very nice and relaxing vacation at Das Goldberg. The hotel impresses with a dreamlike location, excellent food, and consistently friendly and attentive service. We would especially like to highlight the staff in the restaurant and at the reception – everyone was always very warm, professional, and eager to make the stay enjoyable. The culinary offerings were of a very high standard and fully met our expectations. The entire ambiance of the hotel is also exceptional and creates a special feel-good atmosphere. Nevertheless, there are some points that, in our view, do not quite meet the standards of a 5-star establishment: On one hand, the railway line runs significantly closer to the hotel than is apparent on the website. The passing trains are particularly noticeable and quite audible in the pool area. Since we explicitly asked about possible noise influences before booking, we would have appreciated a more transparent response regarding this matter. On the other hand, the quality of the room cleaning was unfortunately very inconsistent. An empty champagne bottle from the day of arrival, for example, remained visible in the room for several days before it was removed. What was particularly irritating was that a cleaning cloth was found in our locked toiletry bag at one point. We still cannot explain how it got in there. After our feedback, the reception apologized several times, but no further actions or follow-ups were made. Another example: After a bottle broke in the evening, we requested a dustpan. Instead, it was announced that they would take care of it. However, after several hours, the shards were still unchanged in the room. Only later did the reception take care of it themselves, which was clearly uncomfortable for them. We were informed that the responsible employee was out sick and that the information was apparently not passed on. These points did not ruin our vacation – we had a wonderful time overall and greatly enjoyed our stay. That is precisely why we find it unfortunate that such avoidable organizational shortcomings somewhat tarnished the otherwise very positive overall impression. Conclusion: A beautiful hotel with excellent cuisine, very good service, and exceptionally friendly staff. However, for a 5-star establishment, we see potential for improvement, particularly in room cleaning and communication. Nevertheless, we would generally recommend Das Goldberg and had a very nice vacation overall.

One of the most beautiful wellness hotels in Austria. Great service, excellent cuisine, very friendly and competent staff. We felt very comfortable and would gladly return.
