ALTSTADT WEISSE TAUBE

Located in the heart of the old town the setting is perfect. In a quiet street and many lovely restaurants and bars within a few steps away. A lovely historic building and spotlessly clean (as was the whole city). Very friendly and helpful staff. Towels were changed every day. High class toiletries and powerful shower. Never seen so many plug sockets in a hotel room before, brilliant. We didn’t have breakfast as there were so many options right on your doorstep. A less than five minute walk takes you to the main square and all the wonderful old shopping streets as well as the river. Cannot recommend highly enough so much so we’re already planning next years trip!

Lovely, central hotel, convenient for all the sights that beautiful Salzburg has to offer. Steps away from the Cathedral and Mozart's birthplace and a whole lot more. Very easy transport by public bus from the airport, dropping off within a very short walk. Comfortable accommodation and lovely bathroom. Breakfast is available at extra cost, although I did not try this. Can highly recommend for a short stay in the centre of Salzburg

We stayed for 3 nights in a triple room. The room was large and the beds were comfortable. We had no issues with noise at all. The location is absolutely perfect, being right on the edge of what I feel is the Altstadt so right near the action but away from the bustle of Getreidegasse. You get a free travel pass that lets you travel on all buses in Austria for free. This means you can get the bus back to the airport from Ferdinand-Hanusch platz (a 7 min walk) for free. Ask for this pass when you check in. One thing that could be improved- ensure there is a power socket near the bed for the third person. Staff were very helpful. I think the lady’s name was Andrea on Reception. We didn’t eat breakfast there as so many options nearby. If you need gluten free food, we recommend the Hotel Elefant. Amazing gf schnitzel and great service.
