MOTEL ONE SALZBURG

Typical Motel One in a good location: The old town is easily accessible by bus; the stop is next to the hotel. The entrance to the underground garage is located across from the hotel and offers direct access to the elevator. The parking fee is 11.00 euros (as of: August 2026). Across from the hotel is a Billa market with an attached market kitchen. The check-in was friendly, fast, and competent. As is usual at Motel One, the employees work in both service and at the reception. The rooms are, as usual, very simple but clean. The beds are excellent, and the Wi-Fi is top-notch! Our room on the fourth floor was very quiet and had a safe. The breakfast is very appealing and completely fine for the price. The fruit is fresh, and the fruit salad is recommended! The organic content is high, and vegetarian products are also offered. As vegan components, there are four different spreads, soy milk, and a vegan sausage variety. The hygiene, cooling, and cleanliness, as well as the management of the buffet, are very good. The staff members are very friendly and polite. What more could you want?

Basically, I was satisfied with my stay at the Motel One Salzburg. I was traveling on business and found the hotel modern, clean, and overall very appealing. My room was rather small, but furnished in a contemporary style and absolutely fine for a short business stay. I would have liked a bit more variety at breakfast. The small tables by the glass front facing the street have their charm, but they are actually very small and only conditionally suitable for a relaxed breakfast. A positive aspect is the option to park in the underground garage. However, the access and the process are unfortunately poorly described. Only upon asking at the reception do you find out where and how you can park. Clear information before arrival would be very helpful here, so that you can drive directly into the garage and then check in. Overall a good, modern hotel for business trips with minor points for improvement regarding breakfast and parking information.

Our stay was nice in itself, but the thing with the cleaning lady who started cleaning the room around 11:00 a.m. w i t h o u t our checkout and simply wouldn't let us back into the room, even though we both needed to use the restroom around 11:30 a.m. and made that clear to her, that is completely unacceptable, and we have spent 2 nights here again. We are guests at various Motel One locations from time to time and have never experienced anything like this. Very disappointing ☹️
