Foersterhof

We stayed at Hotel Försterhof for two nights and overall had a pleasant stay. The location is excellent, with free parking, a private beach, and friendly staff who made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The breakfast offered a good selection of regional products, and the hotel is within easy walking distance of the centre of St. Wolfgang. On the downside, the mattress was extremely soft, the room had a few maintenance issues (a loose tap and a cracked sink), and we found the drinks at the hotel restaurant overpriced for what they were. Overall, it's a good hotel with some great amenities, but there are a few areas that could be improved.

Super nice rooms. Ok breakfast. But the reason that belong to the hotel by the lake was a huge disappointment. It was sun loungers and a toilet. Nothing else. There were so many stones in the water that it hurt . Other hotels had a small bridge out. The area needs a refreshment it not 4 stars each also there far down to the lake from the hotel. The city is boring and looks worn out.

We have been several times in the past at the Hotel Försterhof in St. Wolfgang and have always recommended the house. Unfortunately, according to our last experience, we must strongly advise against: The Service has declined massively. The reception was neither friendly nor striving – our booking request with a valid gift voucher was rejected without a solution proposal, on the grounds that there were no more rooms available. Even the reference to our previous stays as regular guests went unheeded. There was no accommodation, no further contact attempt, no alternative – simply a rejection without any effort. Conclusion: Currently unfortunately absolutely not recommended! We will certainly no longer redeem our valid voucher there.
