Bruckenwirt

I stayed here for a week as part of a group with One Traveller. We used it as a base to explore the local region, Salzberg, Zell am Zee, etc It is located on the edge of town with easy access to the railway station and the main roads. It is family run and the whole staff are extremely friendly and go out of their way to be helpful. Rooms are generous and comfortable. the whole place is kept very clean. At the time of my visit they had builders doing an extension which meant I could not use my balcony. There wasa noise during the day but we were out most days. One evening there was some excellent folk dancing and another early evening there was a long procession of brass bands and hunters with rifles through the streets for a local festival. I would certainly go back if I was in the area

Wonderful hotel with everything the skier likes: cozy rooms, great food, heated ski cellar, ski bus stop directly opposite, wonderful spa area and exceptionally nice staff. (And a wonderful ski resort with access to St. Johann Alpendorf)
