The hotel is well located, on the edge of the village, near shops and quite close to the lake, but unfortunately also next to a very busy and therefore noisy road. We have experienced quieter places... The hotel is generally aging, lacking an elevator, the furniture in our room could use renovation, and the amenities are quite limited. Decent bedding, nothing more. The breakfast is also decent, offered as a relatively well-diversified buffet. Parking is free if booked through the hotel’s website, €8 if booked through a reservation site. A good thing, especially since the direct price is more attractive. The welcome is very friendly, and the staff is eager to provide excellent advice,

We had a wonderful winter holiday at the Hotel Glasererhaus and can highly recommend this charming house! The location is perfect right in the centre of Zell am See – within walking distance of the city railway and the valley station of the Schmittenhöhenbahn, which is ideal for skiers. The whole team was extraordinarily friendly, attentive and helpful, which made our stay very pleasant from the start. Of particular note is the rich breakfast buffet, which leaves nothing to be desired and ensures an energetic start to the day every morning.  The hotel itself exudes a cosy and family atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing winter holiday in the Austrian Alps. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and even if the house has charm, you can feel the warm hospitality of the house in every detail. A special plus is the top location within walking distance to restaurants, bars, the lake and much more – ideal if you want to enjoy the evening in Zell am See after a day on the slopes. We would book the Hotel Glasererhaus again at any time for a winter holiday in Zell am See and can recommend it to all who are looking for a central, cozy and hospitable accommodation with an excellent value for money.
