Hagleitner Family Balance Hotel & Spa

Unfortunately not as beautiful as hoped and presented on the website. The children's pool was not let in, that was the first damper for our kids on arrival. Very bad You can use the pool of the associated hotel but with 2 lively children you feel rather as a disturbing factor. We had a room in the annex 2nd floor with spiral staircase without elevator. A bit cumbersome with suitcases Room quite nicely designed and except for a few cobwebs also quite clean. But it doesn't have to be. What is missing from the room rate are a refrigerator and possibly a coffee machine. Breakfast was fine. Not a huge selection, but okay. Plus point: You could have omelets and fried eggs freshly prepared. Kudos to the nice and attentive service lady (Silvia?) Conclusion: Actually a nice hotel from which you could make more. Not to fill the pool because it rained so much in July (explanation of demand) is unfortunately not possible at all. That would have been a reason for us not to book the hotel We were not offered a guest card or similar The Zell am See map is unfortunately not included either

This hotel is chaos. Total labyrinth of hallways and rooms. Lots of stuff for kids but no kids around. All in all a ghost town. Not a living soul anywhere. Windows wouldn’t close, we had to use duck tape. One pool didn’t work and they didn’t seem to think it’s important at all. Breakfast is a joke, dirt and crumbs everywhere. They claim to have local suppliers of food for breakfast. Not on local was there, just a generic 2star level breakfast. Massively overpriced.

We are so happy and satisfied with this hotel. We stayed in a family room (with seperate room for our 2 kids) for 3 nights. Our room was clean and the shower is spacious. We stayed on the groundfloor. The room could be a bit warm during summer but it was managable. We slept with windows opened and were not disturbed by any noise. Breakfast was tasty, although limited option. Our kids love the kids activities with indoor playground, cinema and bouncy castle. There are outdoor pool and indoor pool at the spa. I tried the indoor pool and wind down afterwards at the spa and it was the best moment after a long hectic day. The spa is free to all guests. There is free coffee and juice for the guests too! Parking is free. We will definitely stay at this hotel again!
