Liebe Sonne

We had a pleasant stay at this lovely place right in the centre of Sölden. Our room was good and the small wellness oasis in the room invites you to relax. A small minus: The sauna area is unfortunately still closed in the morning; the gym and the swimming pool can be used from 07:00. However, there is room for improvement when it comes to service in the catering sector. The staff at breakfast seemed very succinct – especially the gentleman at the egg station should work on his communication with the guests. A subtle note: Since there are many international guests on site, a slightly clearer High German instead of a fast dialect would be helpful. However, a big praise goes to the young lady Lilly at the bar! She was very nice and always had a friendly smile on her lips – some colleagues might cut off a slice of that. We found the situation with the hotel's own umbrella bar somewhat contradictory: If you actively spread the après-ski mood there, it is incomprehensible to complain about the (naturally) somewhat louder guests later in the hotel.

We were our first guest at the Hotel Liebe Sonne. Rooms: + Nice and spacious + WC separate from bathroom + Clean - Bed and pull-out sofa squeaked with every small movement. - For the TV you need 2 remote controls and know what to set (different menus) to watch TV - As soon as the hot tub in the spa area was turned on you had a buzz in the room - Washing machines were clearly audible at all times of the day and night - Strong cigarette smell on the aisle Food: + Rich + Varied + Delicious + Nice restaurant staff - Partial language/communication difficulties SPA: + Large indoor pool + Corner with tea and water at leisure - Hot tub temperature too cold to linger comfortably (you could count the seconds until people went out of the hot tub again) - 2 out of 3 saunas were permanently watered and thus had a humidity > 50% Hotel / management - When registering, important information about hotel life such as meal times, SPA opening hours, ... were only issued on request - Lack of reception knowledge about general ski resort information (glacier bus, tickets, ...) - Despite autumn skiing weeks - no ski storage available - Bare and unfriendly reception staff - Reported defects / concerns were included, but not remedied or solutions sought. - Hotel manager has apologized a lot, but nothing has changed In conclusion, the hotel does not live up to the self-confident appearance of its website or the expectations of a house of this category and clearly disappoints the value for money.
