Fine ambiance and nice vacation or friendly staff .. super destination and perfect cuisine - beautiful wellness areas sauna landscape swimming pools and rooms but to charge 59 euros per person for lunch on the last day (day of departure) IS NOT THE BEST THING

From the moment we arrived, everything felt special. The beautifully traditional Austrian décor is combined with modern comfort so cleverly that the hotel feels elegant and luxurious without ever becoming old-fashioned. But what truly makes this hotel exceptional is the people. Everyone was wonderfully friendly and welcoming, with particular thanks to Elena and Marie Elise at reception, and Christian behind the bar. The restaurant deserves a special mention. The food was excellent and service was wonderfully professional, classic silver service, yet remained warm, friendly and personal. Seydo, Tamara and Diego were absolutely fantastic — incredibly hardworking, attentive and genuinely caring. Their service was seamless: sometimes they were almost invisible, allowing you to enjoy your meal, and at other times they engaged with us so naturally that everything felt personal and special. They really made the restaurant experience. The wellness facilities were luxurious, comfortable and beautifully clean. The pool, pond and spa were wonderful, and the wellness team were friendly, knowledgeable and genuinely interested in understanding what treatment would suit us best. We were lucky enough to receive a complimentary room upgrade for our silver wedding anniversary, which was a wonderful surprise. Our room overlooked the pool and mountains and had a lovely balcony. Our boys' room was fantastic too, with a hallway, air conditioning, bath, walk-in shower, double sinks, separate toilet and its own balcony. Elena also went above and beyond when she realised our 16-year-old would be sharing our room. She called to suggest he could stay with his 18-year-old brother instead, as their room was more than large enough. It was such a thoughtful touch and really demonstrated the level of care we experienced. There was a slight change in atmosphere during the start to our second week when some of our favourite restaurant staff were off for a couple of days and the manager returned (having been away). He was entirely professional, although we found him noticeably less warm and engaging, and there was one rather abrupt comment about wearing a poolside robe to breakfast. It was a small negative in what was otherwise an exceptional stay. The location is superb — less than a five-minute walk into Zell am See and down to the lake. We have come away with wonderful memories of a very special family holiday, and the hotel was such an important part of that experience. Thank you to everyone who made our stay so memorable. We absolutely loved it and cannot wait to return. 5 stars without hesitation! ❤️

Without a doubt the best hotel I’ve stayed in, helped a lot by its stunning locale and some key members of staff. Sejdo, Tamara, Annarita, Diego, Christian and Thea were beyond extraordinary staff members and I can’t fault their near flawless levels of service. The hotel is exactly what you want from an alpine retreat. Only downside was that we felt our treatment compared to other guests was inconsistent. One example is that the manager approached our children in the main pool and shushed them unceremoniously. They were being loud and I understand the principle but other guests were openly vaping in poolside areas and outside the spa without any comment. If you’re going to take steps to maintain a certain standard perhaps do so without bias.
