I ordered a portion of veal priced 32,50 EUR. Immediately I noticed on the menu that a portion of pork was priced 23 EUR. So immediately (3 minutes after the veal order was given to the waiter) I called him to change my order to pork in order to save money. To my astonishment, the waiter argued that he couldn't change the order from veal to pork, because it was already given! 3 minutes after the initial order, he was unable to change the it! That's not all! Friends from our travel group sat in the same Tiefenbrunner restaurant before us. When I told them that we had veal, they said: but we were told that there is no veal left in the kitchen. This means that the waiter could viciously have accepted the veal order, so as to charge us the more expensive meat portion, although that he knew there was no veal left in the kitchen. We were tourists in Austria. The waiter figured it out, and knew we wouldn't visit their shop again, so didn't hesitate to treat us bad.

This was my third or fourth trip to this hotel. I do not usually bother to write reviews but this hotel is special and it deserves broad recognition. The hotel is located a short walk from the main gondola in Kitbuhel. It is impeccably clean. The breakfast which was included in the price is so, so good and very high quality. The sauna, steam and swimming pool area is of the highest standard, the best part is the sauna ceremony which is the perfect reward after a long day skiing. The restaurant offers incredible food. The meat is organic and sourced locally, specifically for this hotel. The food is mouthwatering and the wine cellar is stocked with loads of great vino which the staff is well able to pair appropriately with your meal. Don't miss out on the Austrian wines. It should not be a secret that the Austrians are making incredible wines, especially Pinot Noir and this restaurant is well stocked. The staff is kind, welcoming and very helpful. Last, I would just say that we had the pleasure of meeting the owner Marcus. What a kind and humble person clearly his family raised him well. This hotel has no faults. It is the perfect location and of the highest standard, whether you are there with kids, on a couples trip or on a trip with your pals. I can't wait to go back. I would recommend this hotel over any other ski resort in Europe and I have been to many.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights in August whilst undertaking the Kitzbuhel Alpine Trail. This is a very nice, well appointed hotel with spa and a lovely garden to relax in. Rooms are comfortable and breakfast in the restaurant was of a good quality. We had paid for an upgraded room but when we arrived we had been given a room with a bath but no stand up shower. I requested a change - we thought it would have been common sense to have seen we were booked with a walking company and would be ready for a shower on arrival. I was told that rooms with showers had to be booked in advance. There had been no mention of this by our walking company. Somewhat reluctantly the reception staff changed the room for us and we were much happier with the new one. I would say that the picture on the website of the upgraded rooms is somewhat misleading as they are certainly not all like the one shown. I do understand giving the best rooms to people staying a week or more and once the problem was resolved we enjoyed our stay here. If returning to Kitzbuhel we would stay here again now we know that we need to request a room with shower.
