This hotel is absolutely stunning! Quirky and original! If you want something different this is definitely the place for you... from the taxidermy to the beautiful architecture! The views from most rooms are out of this world! Staff are lovely and friendly! Absolute must...

Hotel Weismayr is a beautiful building in the center of Bad Gastein. The interior of the lobby and the staircase are great. Rooms are specious and the bed was fine. The bathroom was very outdated with cracked tiles and moulds. Breakfast is OK, except for the coffee (tasted like it had been prepared the evening before too). Dinner is very average. This could improve significantly with a little TLC and ambition of the chef. Personnel is very friendly.

Room and food: need to improve, it is nice to have the classical historical furniture, but in my room the curtains had small holes and the bathtub was painted in a creme white. (picture : but with this dark circle around the part where the water flushes off...not very inviting) Food, I would say I was really missing fresh vegetables, instead we had the frozen spinach but in such a liquid consistancy that it was like baby food. What comes on the plate is easy and cheap to produce.
