For 2 weeks, we were able to enjoy a dog-friendly room at the Wasnerin with our dog. For our dog, it was probably the best vacation we have ever had. He was allowed to come along to breakfast and dinner, got his pets from every waiter, and was even able to wrap the hotel management around his paw so well that he rarely had to go to sleep without a treat. But the dog-friendliness of the staff is only the beginning.
The employees (regardless of whether at the reception, gardeners, waiters, bartenders, and cleaning staff) put a smile on your face every day. The waiters remember what you like to drink after just 1-2 days, the breakfast chef remembers omelet orders, and overall everyone is always cheerful and enthusiastic about their work. Rarely have we had a vacation that was so relaxing. The Wasnerin is a vacation gem, and from now on we will certainly recommend it to everyone we know.
We look forward to seeing you again soon :)

We were now at the WASNERIN for the second time and were actually so thrilled again that it was clear to us: We will be back.
Unfortunately, one experience at the end of our stay really clouded this positive impression.
We were told that another guest had complained that our dog had been "whining miserably" in the room. To be honest, this choice of words really hurt us.
Our dog is a four-year-old Maltipoo, a therapy dog, and has been traveling with us for years. He is used to being in hotels and, if at all, is only left alone in the room for a short time. When I returned to the room, he was completely calm. In all these years and during many hotel stays, we have never received such feedback.
Of course, we respect it if another guest feels disturbed by a dog. What disappointed us, however, was the way in which this complaint was communicated to us—especially in an establishment that explicitly presents itself as dog-friendly.
Up until this point, we would have very gladly recommended the WASNERIN and would have come a third time. It is all the more regrettable that we are now ending our stay with a completely different feeling.
For us, dog-friendliness does not just mean that dogs are allowed, but also an appreciative and appropriate way of dealing with the dog and the owner.
For us, it is therefore certain: Unfortunately, there will not be a third time.
