Travel Charme Furstenhaus Am Achensee

We had booked two nights and were very satisfied. The staff was very friendly and the room was also super nicely furnished. We had a view of the lake. The wellness area is large and very comfortably equipped. The bar and the restaurant are also very lovingly furnished.

The Fürstenhaus stands out primarily due to its unique location right on the lake, with its own lake access and the boat station right on the doorstep. Since there is no free parking in all of Pertisau, booking a parking space in the underground garage is recommended. However, the day ticket at 17.- EU is in the same price range as a day ticket on Vienna's Mariahilfer Straße. The room (Comfort category with lake view) was large and spacious, with beds to match; in contrast, the bathroom was unfortunately all the smaller, with a shower in the bathtub, which can certainly be a challenge for older guests. The aging wall-mounted hair dryer overheated after 30 seconds at most and stopped working for several minutes; however, after we complained, a functioning hand-held hair dryer was provided to us immediately. The spa area with indoor/outdoor pools and a whirlpool, several saunas, a fitness room, wellness offerings, and more than enough lounging and relaxation areas is outstanding. Cuisine: The breakfast buffet with its own cooking station leaves nothing to be desired, as does the multi-course, high-quality, and varied dinner menu. However, unlike most 4-star superior hotels, cheese at the end is only available for an extra charge. The carafe of tap water is charged at 1.50 EU, which, with a Prosecco and wine order totaling 61.- EU, leaves a somewhat bitter aftertaste. A water dispenser would be desirable for afternoon coffee. The staff is very friendly, attentive, and helpful in all areas, a big plus. Conclusion: a successful stay with some "room for improvement."

We spent a few wonderful days at the aja Fürstenhaus at Achensee in Pertisau and returned completely thrilled. **Location:** The hotel is located directly on the shore of Lake Achensee – just the view from the room of the turquoise water and the mountains of Karwendel was a highlight every morning. Ideal as a starting point for hikes: We were in the Wolfsklamm and hiked up to Bärenbadalm – both easily accessible from the hotel. **Rooms:** Tastefully furnished, with a balcony and lake view, clean and modern. **Half board:** Here, the hotel really impressed us. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and fresh, and in the evening, there was a changing 4-course menu at the Laurentius restaurant at a high level – just what we needed after a day of hiking. We especially want to mention Peter in the restaurant, who attended to us every evening with great attentiveness and warmth. **Wellness:** The large spa area with indoor and outdoor pools as well as the panoramic sauna with lake view provided perfect relaxation after the tours in the mountains. **Service:** The staff was consistently friendly and attentive – a special thank you to Ms. Ru at the reception. **Conclusion:** Clear recommendation for anyone who wants to combine mountains, lakes, and good food.
