Hotel Bierwirt

Tucked away a couple of miles from the city centre but on a bus and tram route this hotel is worth considering to save money on over inflated city accommodation. We chose it partly because it had free parking but also because it gave a more authentic Austrian experience. Room was spacious although no aircon or tea/coffee making in room. Breakfast adequate.

We stayed one weekend at this hotel, the place is really nice, in a convenient location. The staff is friendly, the only drawback is a receptionist who seemed to be Italian in accent. The boy has constantly not understood and we are not sure that he understands German

We spent a night at the Bierwirt after spending the night before at the AC Hotel in downtown Innsbruck. A difference like day and night, whereby the beer host is unfortunately the night. Our room was in need of a lot of renovation, the carpet just wasn't contemporary and unhygienic anymore, the bed so hard that I thought I was lying on a towel on a wooden board. No air conditioning. No way a 4-star hotel. Only bright spot - a very good breakfast.
