Grandhotel Lienz*****

Upon arrival, the luggage is taken, and the vehicle is driven by a staff member into the hotel's own underground garage (€10). The check-in was friendly and professional. Our corner double room was a good size at 38 m², was functionally and comfortably furnished, and had a small balcony facing the north/street side. This had the advantage that the room does not heat up too much during summer temperatures. The air conditioning worked well, but only the temperature could be adjusted. Anyone who needs slippers can get them free of charge at the reception upon request. The swimming pool and outdoor pool were very good for a quick cool-down. Dinner was served on the terrace by friendly and competent service staff. The selection and quality of the food were excellent. The breakfast was also outstanding. Conclusion: We can recommend the hotel without reservation.

Lienz, the Dolomites, and the luxurious Grand Hotel cannot be described; one must experience it personally. This 5-star inn, with its amenities and the beautifully maintained garden, with a dreamlike terrace right next to the "Isel," and the extremely friendly and competent staff, not just at the reception. Underground parking with an elevator to the very large room (No. 301) with living room comfort; nothing is missing here. Flat-screen TV, minibar, coffee machine, and even a tablet; fruit and water were also available. A huge bathroom with a bathtub, separate shower, two sinks, bathrobes, separate toilet, etc. Noteworthy is the unusually beautiful wellness center with approximately 30 degrees Celsius warm water, "indoor and outdoor pool"; various juices, fruit, and water are available in the spa. A lavish breakfast buffet with champagne; nothing is missing here. A rarity is also the attention from the owner, Mr. Westreicher, and his wonderful kitchen.
