Hotel Outside

An all-around beautiful hotel in an equally beautiful area. We felt very comfortable. We had booked a "Nature Suite Plus". Very comfortable and spacious, large balcony, fantastic view. Unfortunately no air conditioning, no coffee or tea making facilities. But a very well-functioning refrigerator. The pillows were very soft and unfortunately could not be exchanged for firmer ones. A highlight is the fantastic tap (spring) water. We are a bit picky and sensitive about that, but in this case, we were thoroughly impressed. The breakfast is spectacular, everything is very delicious and fresh with a huge selection. Anyone who doesn't get full there has only themselves to blame. The spa area with various saunas and four (small) indoor and outdoor swimming pools is extremely high-quality and particularly busy during bad weather. The room with the brine bath is, however, very gloomy. That is probably intended, but we found it a bit unpleasant. There is also a fitness room with 3 machines (basic standard level). We would have liked a bit more here. On weekdays, usually, guided hikes are offered, though it is difficult to estimate their difficulty level beforehand, as there is very little information. You have to sign up by 5 p.m. the day before and then just be surprised. We could have also booked the - rather pricey - meal plan in advance, which includes an afternoon snack and a 6-course dinner menu. We always like to decide things like that on-site after we have taken a look at them. In short: We decided against it. The selection was actually quite limited. The small a la carte menu and restaurants in the neighborhood were sufficient. There is free parking in front of the building and underground parking spaces for €9/day. E-bikes can be stored comfortably and charged (with night-time electricity). Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi is weak, very weak, or not available at all in some parts of the hotel. Annoying. Even the Wi-Fi of the adjacent kindergarten was stronger. The entire staff is extremely nice, competent, and service-oriented. A small downside at departure: We had packed two small pretzel rolls at breakfast for a hike and properly reported this to the reception. For that, €4.50 for a "packed lunch" then appeared on the room bill, which totaled more than €3,000. You can do that, it was certainly correct. However, it does not encourage our decision to return very soon.

The hotel is small. Fairly well-maintained in its furnishings. The staff is very kind and discreet. The rooms, both the Mountain and the family ones, all face the street, which is quite noisy. There is no air conditioning, so you are forced to keep the windows open and the noise disturbs your sleep. Furthermore, there are no day curtains to protect you from the houses across the street, and if you want privacy, you have to completely darken the room with the night ones. The garden is very well-maintained but totally surrounded by houses and rather small. As is the wellness area. There were more guests than available lounge chairs. The sauna and steam room area is quite poor in terms of both functionality and aesthetics. A totally negative note is the food. The breakfast is not rich enough. I am used to wellness in South Tyrol and I thought they were just as good in Austria. The 2:00 PM snack was truly ridiculous. One day there were only 4 types of vegetables, bread, and 1 dessert. The strudel was completely raw for 3 days in a row. The first dinner was truly sad, 3 dishes and all in broth. We left the table truly dissatisfied. The second evening was better, but it had nothing to do with quality culinary service. To conclude, we will not be returning. Too expensive compared to what they offer. I thank you anyway for the kindness, which was high.

Wonderful stay! We felt very comfortable at the Hotel 0utside and had an all-around lovely experience. Absolutely recommended!
