Hotel Residenz Hochland

We absolutely loved staying at this hotel. We have stayed in many four and five star hotels over the years and in Austria and this one has been one of the best. Location: The hotel is up a slight incline very close to a large supermarket and about 10 minutes walk to the station and town. Sunbeds and sun shades were available looking out over the town which was very pleasant. Staff:. Nothing was too much trouble. Whatever we asked for, (lighter duvet's, kettle and cups for the room for example) we got without any quibbles or fuss. Every member of staff we met were professional, helpful and friendly. Our room: Our room was very clean and comfortable. We paid for a larger room which had a sitting area and which went on to a small but private balcony. We found this useful for the extra space which we appreciated. The level of soundproofing in the rooms was exceptional. We had a family staying above us which we could only hear once out on our balcony. Apart from that we heard nothing from them or either side of us. Plenty of cupboard and hanging space in the room. Comfortable beds and pillows and a modern style bathroom. We had toweling dressing gowns in our room and spa slippers. This may have been because of the upgraded room. Bathroom products were of high quality. Restaurant Food: The food was excellent quality, served to your table and as usual in Austria, there is a salad bar with a good variety of salad items. Our last day: We had a very early pick up before breakfast was served. Thank you to the Head Waiter, Emile, who arranged for us to have a breakfast bag and for the coffee machine in the restaurant to be turned on much earlier than usual to allow us to have a couple of coffee's before our very early taxi pick up back to the airport. This was much appreciated. We didn't use the inside pool but the area was very pleasant. The Sauna was only available on request. If we had anything negative to add it would be this: Although the food was of high standard and quality, well presented etc, by the end of the week we were craving some home cooked meals, not Master Chef type food. It would also have been nice to have some Austrian dishes. Most dishes at the hotel catered for the large number of Italian customers. Maybe the authentic Austrian dishes are served in the winter. We would also have appreciated more information on how much a glass of wine was at meal times. Bottles of wine are recommended and prices given but when asking for a glass of wine we were unaware of the price until the next morning when we were asked to sign the tab. Additionally, at the bar area during the day if we had a drink, we were not asked to sign a receipt to confirm our order. This is open to all sorts of potential problems when checking out and if drinks are mistakenly added to the final bill. We would definitely recommend this hotel to others and if we were to return to Seefeld we would definitely stay at this hotel again. it is an excellent hotel, we had a very good time, we were two families, the rooms were very spacious and well cleaned with everything you need, very well furnished. The spa is also beautiful, saunas, steam room, fitness room, games for children, bicycles, and a wonderful pool with space in the garden as well for sunny days, excellent location, large parking lot, in the center but slightly in a privileged and elevated position, common areas very well-kept and well-furnished, top restaurant and superlative cuisine, very friendly staff. Highly recommended, good value for money depending on the room chosen

Well-located hotel, a stone's throw from the center, beautiful view, quiet, and parking. Spacious, well-equipped rooms. Very good dining and good service.
