Wohlfuehlhotel Goiserer Muehle

Charming & quaint alpine hotel. The room was beautiful and the hotel even had an elevator!!! The storage room for our e-bikes was perfect. We stayed here 2 nights; the first night we ate at the restaurant, which was ok, but quite expensive. The next night we walked 10 minutes into the city center to a local Italian restaurant, Pizzeria Peppone, that was amazing! We enjoyed breakfast that included many of their homemade items. Be sure to pick up a tray to collect all the little containers the delicacies are packaged in. Many of their yummies are available for purchase in their shop.

This hotel is great in many ways. Although our room unfortunately only had a small window and the theme is usually important to us, we felt very comfortable in it. A very large room, super clean, attractively furnished in a modern style. The service staff were all exceptionally friendly without it seeming artificial. A big compliment for that. But I would like to give the biggest praise to the kitchen. It is very rare to find something so special. We absolutely appreciate it. Even at the breakfast buffet, it is noticeable that it is different. No table bin for waste is needed here, because there is no waste. That is great and you can see - that's how it works. And our gourmet menu in the evening blew us away. So much creativity, so pretty to look at and sooooo delicious! You can feel that the chefs are working with great passion. High-quality food was prepared here. Real artists were at work and I had great confidence in the products used. For me personally, the chefs won my heart because they made this gourmet menu vegan without any ifs and buts and without having to beg. Where else can you find that? So progressive. In short. Although it wasn't originally planned, we'll be back. We just have to enjoy it again. I wish the Goiserermühle all the best for the future and many more guests who appreciate the offer and the lovely people there.

The staff were incredibly polite and helpful. I arrived late, when the kitchen was closing and there weren't any other options in the neighborhood, and they very graciously stayed open to make sure I was well fed. There were a few young teenage boys hanging around who I think were related to the hotel proprietors, and who were eager to greet me and rushed to call the elevator for me when they saw me heading to it. Great location in charming alpine village of Bad Goisern, convenient for exploring stunning nearby town of Hallstatt. The 900+ krampus parade in Bad Goisern on December 7 was an incredible experience that I will remember for the rest of my life!
