The hotel does not deserve 4 stars. This starts with the very reserved staff, through missing amenities like a kettle, tea, coffee, and for a hotel that advertises "on the beach," beach towels, etc. The beach is also 5 minutes away on foot, and there is nothing from the hotel there. The breakfast was a complete disappointment - by 9:00 AM there was no bread left, the roll was dry and reheated, and nothing else was special. Everything seems a bit lacking in care. The hotel appears to be geared towards large tour groups - quickly and efficiently processing them. Not recommended for couples.

The hotel is exceptional with the massage beds (own remote control - not those of the TV) of the spatial location near the Danube and goats for morning greeting.
What a treat..
The irritation is due to the Persian carpet in Foyer 6 (event room). I would have liked to know if it was only me who rated it as deep in taste.

Unfortunately, we had to have another negative experience on the occasion of a family celebration.
I want to publicise these, perhaps this will help to raise awareness in Austrian tourism.
My husband and I were invited to our niece's wedding on 31.05.2025.
The wedding ceremony took place at the “Schloss Luberegg” in Emmersdorf in der Wachau. (Luberegg 18, A-3644 Emmersdorf) We wanted to spend the night in the adjacent hotel, the “Landhotel Wachau” in Luberegg 20.
I have been wheelchair-bound for around 10 years and we know from experience that not everyone understands the same thing by “accessibility”.
Therefore, we explicitly requested the equipment of the accessible room when booking. (mail dated 4.9.2024, 6.9.2024 and reservation confirmation attached) We received confirmation that handles, etc. Be available. We have to add that the bride and groom had also asked for “handicapped accessible”.
Unfortunately we found the following situation on site on Saturday, 31.05.2025.
The three rooms shown to my husband had neither handles nor seating in the shower area in the sanitary area. Also, the wheelchair access to the shower was too narrow, as there was neither space in front nor the glass wall narrowed the space. One room shown even had a step at the entrance.
The arguments that disabled toilets were available in the Old Castle or the new annex were also only partially correct. Here, however, there were handles and emergency calls in a very small room of about 1.5 x 1.5 m and it contained all the facilities while in the new building the room was large but equipped without brackets.
And how would I get from my room to the toilet in the Old Castle at night? Should I roll from the hotel at night over an unlit gravel path and parking lot to the Old Castle ...
Unfortunately, it turns out again that participation in social life is not possible for all people. The term ACCESSIBILITY should not only be on paper, but also be lived practice. The reservation was made in September 2024 and the wedding took place on 31.05.2025 – time to retrofit, also for other possible guests with special needs.
