Hotel Goldener Bar

I have made a request for free cancellation via Booking's booking system. Nevertheless, my reservation was cancelled without the amount already paid being refunded to me. Instead of a solution, all I got was the answer: “We are sorry, we cannot provide a refund.” This casts considerable doubt on the reliability of the company. In the hotel's reviews, guests report that they were standing on the street without a room when they arrived at night. Another customer describes that he had to wait for hours due to overbooking and eventually had to look for another hotel in the middle of the night. In addition, there are complaints of unpleasant odors and lack of cleanliness. Since Booking does not take any effective action against such abuses, there is a risk that you will not only not receive the paid room, but also lose your money. I will therefore file my complaint with all relevant national and international supervisory and consumer authorities. Otelin yorumlarına bakıldğında gece otellerine varan müşterilerin sokakta kaldıklarını görülmektedir. Başka bir kullanıcı fazla rezervasyon sebebiyle saatlerce beklediklerini en sonunda gece yarısı başka bir otel bulmak zorunda kaldıklarını yazmıştır. Kötü koku ve pislik şikayetleri de vardır. Booking’in zaten hiçbir yaptırımı yoktur. Dolayısıyla parasını ödediğiniz odayı bulamayacağınız gibi paranızı da alamayabilirsiniz. Ülkenin denetleyici/düzenleyici tüm kurumlarına başvurularımı yapacağım.

We went on a family vacation, we were 4 people and booked a quadruple room. When we arrived we found the room enabled for two people. there was a sofa that we set up so that two of us could sleep, but we had no sheets, pillows, blankets, towels,... for the four of us, only for two. We called and were told that because of the time they could not supply it and the next day they would take them to us. We slept unhygienically on the sofa, without pillow, we went cold,..... Since we had paid for a room for four people and it was only for two, we asked for the payment for the corresponding part of the first night. After several messages, and after three weeks we still haven't heard back. Bad service.

This was one of the best value places I could find in Vienna (which isn't a cheap city!) The location is excellent, walking to get to the Rathaus and museums and also near to several public transport options. The check-in seemed complicated but we managed it. We were able to leave our luggage in the storage room on the 1st floor on both day of arrival and departure. There is a decent Italian restaurant next door and a lovely cafe for breakfast nearby. I would definitely stay again - not because it is beautiful with lots of atmosphere but because it was comfortable enough, well located, and very good value for money.
