Pentahotel Vienna

Great hotel. The hotel is located in a quiet area. With public transportation, the city center is reached very quickly. Very good breakfast. Beds are very comfortable. We would gladly come back.

I was in the hotel for the first time. Business trip. I was gonna check in at 2:00. The employee told me it wasn't possible until 3 p.m. Then I arrived at 3pm to check in. I asked again why it was only possible to check in at 3pm. The staff member told me since check-in is at 3pm and not earlier. Therefore, it is not a good hotel for guests who have business appointments and then often have to check in earlier, perhaps also to conduct online appointments in the room in peace. The tone of a receptionist was also rather gruff. I told her she didn't like her tone towards me. Employees should receive regular training on this. The offer of hotels in Vienna is not small, so you should always fight for customers. I don't mind international teams where reception staff speak only English, but there are customers who don't speak English. I don't see how my parents would check into this hotel. Negative was that on Thursday at about 7.30 p.m. very loud techno music was playing in the entrance. There was an event in the hotel entrance area near the bar. Very uncomfortable this volume. Negative was the gym. There were three devices and a weight bench. I was expecting at least cardio equipment. Therefore not really useful for me. I use elliptical cross trainers, which are usually available in hotels. Pros: Breakfast was good, a nice selection in a nice breakfast room. Negative here but that it ended at 10am was the breakfast. The room was ok but not a nice view of the backyard. Seemed like a courtyard of a factory. Room 302. This is not what I like to see as a tourist when I am in Vienna.

We liked it very much; the staff are polite and friendly, the rooms are spacious, and the breakfast and bar were delicious. It's a 2-minute walk from the metro station and a 10-minute walk from the city center.
