For our short break we were looking for a central and inexpensive hotel and also found in the VIENNA Sporthotel ;-)
Due to the central location by car (2-3min from A23), by metro (about 5min walk) and also "the Prater" in the immediate vicinity (about 15min walk) you can reach pretty much everything comfortably. Due to our "package" with breakfast and parking in the adjacent parking garage, our stay for the start of the day and no annoying parking search was quite relaxed.
If you like to go sporty, you will be in good hands here with gym, indoor golf, sauna, massages, solarium, summer pool and 10 tennis courts.
The direct restaurant in the hotel can also be used - if you don't like this can be found in max. 15min walk the most diverse restaurant to dine and linger.
The room itself was clean, the beds comfortable, the bathroom spacious and quite new - what bothered us a bit were the unpleasant smells in the corridor - no idea where it came from or if we had too sensitive a nose;-)
The breakfast itself was a bit paltry for a 4* hotel, but still sufficient and tasty;-)
The staff, whether reception, bar, restaurant, cleaning, sauna were always friendly and helpful - TOP !!!
All in all - simply great and inexpensive hotel with central location in Vienna;-)
We will definitely come back.

You will wake up at 8am. because the housekeeping staff are kind of loud at the start of the morning. Front staff were ok, but I met friendlier and the bartenders were actually friendlier.
My room was on the first floor and a good size for a single person and it was clean. A little dated but not as bad as many I've seen. The desk was very long, which I liked for working, and had two chairs. No view but that's fine because it meant quiet.
The bed was probably queen size. I'm a solo traveler, but come on, only one pillow. I couldn't even prop my head up to watch TV with that one pillow. The TV was a good size for the room, picture was good quality and looks like lots of channels (incl. BBC, CNN). Quiet nights sleep.
Location is pretty remote located amongst the residential buildings and the area is not quaint or charming. There are some basic shops like Spar and Billa but pretty thin after that. That said taking the U3 is an easy straight shot to St. Stephen's Church/City Center.
I didn't use the steam room or sauna but did use the gym in the basement. Although the equipment was rather dated I was happy to have it and while there was no WiFi in the basement to stream my music there was a TV.
No electric kettle to make instant coffee or tea and there is a refrigerator but it's fully stocked as a mini bar so your stuff won't fit.
WiFi was not very strong and struggled during my work Zoom call.
Bathroom was good size and had excellent counter space. The shower was quite modern, doors opened up and you stepped down slightly which was unique and pleasant.

Friendly hotel, helpful staff, excellent communication for reservations and needs, clean room and bathroom, only note: 15.50 euros for breakfast "not included" maybe it's a bit too much for the type of food present, and charging the same money to children seems excessive.
