We were extremely disappointed with our stay at Hotel Ananas. This was advertised as a 4-star hotel, but our experience was closer to a 2-star standard.
When we arrived, our room had no coffee facilities, only one pillow each, and no iron. We reported all of these issues the following morning and were assured they would be sorted. Nothing happened. We had to keep chasing staff, and our requests were repeatedly ignored.
The biggest issue was the air conditioning. During our stay, temperatures reached around 35°C. The air conditioning stopped working, making the room unbearably hot. After repeatedly following up, someone eventually came to repair it, but it broke down again the very next day, leaving us sweltering once more.
What was most disappointing was the attitude of the front desk staff. There was little concern or empathy despite the discomfort we were experiencing, and no real effort was made to resolve the situation properly.
A 4-star hotel should provide basic room amenities, respond promptly to guest requests, and ensure essential facilities like air conditioning are working—especially during extreme heat. Unfortunately, this hotel failed on all counts, and I would not recommend staying here.
