Hotel Hanselewirt

Simple country hotel in a central location. Bus stop almost at the door. The reception is unfortunately only staffed for a few hours a day (from 3 PM until early evening). The rooms in the category we booked, "small double room," are quite different. Since we were traveling in a group where all the fellow travelers were accommodated in this room category, a direct comparison is possible. Our room was equipped with a table and a chair. There was no room for a second one. The available kettle could not be used because there was no outlet near the table. The bathroom was the size of a guest toilet with a small shower cubicle attached. It had no shelf space at all; even the toothbrush cups had to be stored outside, as placing them on the mini sink was not possible. Perhaps there is a possibility for improvement here, as this situation significantly affected the overall impression. The beds were very comfortable, and the room was clean. The optional breakfast buffet was extensive and very delicious, and it offered great value for the price. The hotel has a large terrace with a view of the castle. A vending machine is available. CONCLUSION: With the exception of the bathroom, we were very satisfied with the choice. In a different room category, we would book the hotel again.

This hotel is nice and quiet, but in the perfect location! Not only did we get a room with a view of Neuschwanstein, but the beds were immensely comfortable and the bathroom was spacious. Plus, there's a couple restaurants, a grocery store, and a bakery all within walking distance. There was ample parking as well. A perfect stay for families.

We stayed 3 nights and loved the food and breakfast Would come back anytime. Breakfast was excellent.
