Egoist Hotel

The room was terrible. The view was a garbage dump. No water supply in the bathroom. The room itself was filthy and old dirt was visible all over. The door had been opened by force and not repaired afterwards. We got another room after one night. Slightly better but the entire so-called hotel was a construction site where workers were working from early morning to late night with renovation of the entire floor were rooms were placed. The breakfast was served on tables without tablecloth and the food - never experienced that lousy breakfast during my more than sixty years of life.

I want to tell everyone who is expecting 4-star service from this property that maximum rate is for 2-stars. First of all when you reach your room after check in you will notice that all rooms on the floor are unlocked with open doors. So you are going to lock the door but you can see a lot of interesting stuff in your personal room. Bathroom might not be clean from weeks, lack of toilet paper and towels are just the beginning. When we called the reception to ask for supplies they just respond to take them from the room next door because it was open ... For breakfast we arrived at 09:00 AM which is normal time for such event. But the stuff said that breakfast is not served any longer, it was earlier than that. Anyway they were kind enough to invite us and just cooked for our-self. Which made us not so happy because the way that the stuff said was not that pleased - like: "Ok ... lets make something for you guys" Bed again is not comfortable when you have been walking and exploring Baku all day long. The only positive think is the location. SO if you expect pleasure from staying in 4-star hotel - THIS IS NOT THE PLACE !

The hotel was very functional and everything worked. It could use a good clean in the bathroom shower but generally clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and staff were very pleasant and tried hard to please us. We enjoyed our stay. No complaints at all and the price was very fair.
