We had a very nice stay at Sandals Royal Bahamian. The property is lovely, the decor throughout is on point and feels luxurious. There are plenty of dining options and the staff is friendly and helpful. We enjoyed visiting the private island. The highlight of our trip was the Balmoral Bar at 10 pm on Sunday/Monday/Tuesday at the piano with Heston Dean. He is a brilliant entertainer. He makes the entire audience feel welcome and gets everyone involved and singing. He creates such a wonderful atmosphere.

We recently returned from Royal Bahamian after having our wedding and honeymoon there and everything from start to finish was perfect. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience overall. The wedding process went very smoothly and I had the utmost attention and care given by our pre-wedding planner Kishandra, who helped me go over every detail and helped me plan every step! Our on-site wedding team was also amazing, Dee and her team went above and beyond and helped ensure our welcome party and entire wedding day was on schedule and had everything taken care of. We also used the on-site videography team, Darrington and Sasha, and they were very attentive and dedicated to capturing the special moments! I was extremely particular about my wedding flowers, and the on-site florist took my inspiration I shared and brought my vision to life! Having our wedding here was the best decision and I couldn’t have asked for a better team to work with! After our wedding, we stayed at the resort for our honeymoon and had the best experience. Our butlers, Anil, Keisha and Zhaly were awesome and helped make our stay so special. They would always deliver some sort of treat or decorate our room in a romantic way each night. They were always attentive and genuinely cared about making our stay unforgettable. As for food, we did not have a bad meal during our stay. Our personal favorites were Soy for Sushi and Butch’s for a nice steak and lobster dinner. The restaurant on the private island was also great for lunch. The private island is a must visit, and worth spending the entire day out there relaxing. Overall, I cannot recommend Sandals RB enough. From the exceptional service and amazing food to the beautiful property and unforgettable wedding experience, we made memories that will last forever. We cannot wait to return!

This was our first stay at a Sandals resort and it definitely won't be our last. The Royal Bahamian resort was great, we found it to be at the top end of just the right size for us, the hotel buildings themselves are fairly large but there is a lot of open space, comfy lounge areas, and sizeable pools to accommodate the number of guests. It never felt cramped at all in the two weeks we were there. Our room itself in the West Bay building was spacious, clean, and felt very homely. There are a variety of activities depending on what you'd like to do, with more lively events by one of the pools and various sports to try. We particularly enjoyed the silent discos on the nights they were held. Crucially for us if we wanted quiet time to relax then it was very easy to find some. The general atmosphere was lovely, with firepits in one area and string lights near the food trucks. We found the restaurants to be of a very high quality, on par with some of the nicer restaurants we've been to in the UK. The food was delicious and the variety was perfect. Booking as early as possible for the restaurants meant we had our pick, leaving it until the same day may limit choice but only three require reservations so there's still plenty to choose from. The private island, Barefoot Cay, felt like absolute luxury to us. It was quiet, had great amenities, and the best snorkeling from the shore I've ever experienced. We spent a lot of our time there. I'd recommend bringing your own snorkeling gear if you have it as it gives you more freedom. It's worth mentioning that we got lucky in having low winds for a lot of our stay which meant the boat to the island went from the beach making for a quick crossing, in higher winds it will go from a nearby dock. We'd also very much recommend booking a spa treatment as the experience we had there was one of the best massages we've had. We booked a Club level room which meant we had a concierge desk available for bookings and other help while we were there, we found that some of the team came off as a little severe though that may have just been them being formal. We were surprised to find, given the price of our stay, that only basic WiFi was included and the cost to upgrade to normal speed internet was surprisingly expensive so be aware of that. We didn't tend to spend much time in our room aside from sleeping and getting ready but it was a shame the TV did not allow SMART connections for streaming etc which is something that seems a bit outdated. One thing I would say is that if you have an issue then simply speak to someone, for instance we realised the robes in our room hadn't been left for us but once we told someone they were there before we got back from dinner. When we experienced an issue with one of the extra packages we bought it was also dealt with swiftly and professionally once we spoke to one of the staff. Overall, it was a perfect first stay with Sandals which often exceeded what we'd expected. We'd definitely recommend this resort for anyone looking to visit the Bahamas!
