This was our second stay at Diva Hotel, and this time we also tried the breakfast, which pleasantly surprised us. The selection wasn’t huge, but everything — both Arabic and Indian dishes — tasted genuinely good. Our first assigned room was on the 14th floor. Although it was a non-smoking room, both the hallway and the room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, so we immediately requested a change. The switch was handled without any problem. In the second room on the 11th floor, we discovered before bedtime that none of the outlets worked — no fridge, no AC, no lamps, only the ceiling lights. Maintenance fixed everything within about five minutes of reporting it. Most staff were very friendly, except for one receptionist who was noticeably less welcoming. Some noise and music from the clubs in the lower floors could be heard until around midnight, but earplugs solved it easily. One thing we consistently enjoy about this hotel is the rooftop pool with a nice view. It’s nothing overly fancy, but we like it, and we’d stay again on our next trip to Bahrain — depending mainly on the room price.
