B&B Le Coup De Coeur

And here’s the big BUT: there’s a big “for sale” sign right on the door and what you’ll notice when staying at Le Coup is that they’re just not interested in the place anymore. Firstly we arrived to find the place locked and nobody to check us in, even though I confirmes by email our time of arrival and called about 30mins before getting there only to get to voicemail. Thanks to the amazing next door restaurant owner who somehow managed to get hold of Le Coupe’s owner we managed to get in. Our room was spacious with a proper retro feeling to it, nice bug windows, nice comfortable bed, huge bathroom that could definitely do with some updates but not a huge problem. We woke up next morning to find that the “breakfast” included was only two old croissants and a coffee machine. Terrible. Such a shame, this could be an amazing place but it isn’t.

The location was amazing, near everything within walking distance. The room was nice and big and the bed was amazing to sleep in. The kitchen area was very cozy and it was nice to be able to cook a meal yourself. Since there’s only 3 apartments/rooms the entire place feels very exclusive and private which is a big plus. There was a few things to improve: - The breakfast. A bed and breakfast is more than self serviced baguettes and croissants. - Tidying up after breakfast. The jam would sit outside for an entire day without a lid which attracted banana flies all over the place. - Giving the correct information. I contacted the host before the travel and asked if there was a hair drier which they didn’t have anymore left, which is fair enough. I brought my own only to find one in the bathroom so I had no need in taking my back and forth for no reason - The toilet was right next to the window and there was no curtain so you were literally on the toilet for everyone to see - There was barely any hot water which meant cold showers and no possibility of using the amazing bathtub there - The lighting in the room was very poor. The 1 lamp next to the bed didn’t work and it was too dark to read a book during the night as there were bed lights. There’s without a doubt room for improvement but overall a nice place.

The location is fantastic and cannot be faulted however the check-in procedure was very bad I arrived a little earlier than my check-in time and tried to call the hotel numerous times before arriving but there was no answer I also emailed saying I'd be early but there was no answer. Once I was eventually able to check-in there was no mention of which apartment i had which actually led me trying my keys in each one. I will not stay here again
