Catalonia Brussels

My first time in Brussels, and this hotel was lovely, very well located, close to restaurants and great for shopping. The train stops just a block away. Everyone was very friendly; Martha's attention at breakfast and Francisco's at reception made our arrival very pleasant. I highly recommend this hotel.

We've stayed at many Catalonia hotels in Spain and figured the one in Brussels would be equally good. Not at all! The staff and the front desk staff are cold and aloof. They didn't acknowledge us a Star level members at check-in. In fact, they acted at first as they couldn't even find the reservation (which we had held for 6 months). There's a heat wave in Brussels but the air conditioning in the room doesn't work at all. It's 28-29C in the room which is outrageous. We complained at the front desk and they acted as if they couldn't be bothered and offered no solutions. It's clear that the employees and management of this hotel just don't care at all about their customers. Never again - even if it's the last hotel available in Brussels!!!!

Comfortable room with twin beds, clean bathroom. Complete breakfast. The only negative was that they were fixing the entrance to the hotel, and entering was uncomfortable. Marta is a wonderful person in the dining room.
