Motel Deny

We chose to spend our two-day visit to Mostar at the Villa Deny because of the car parking; we will return because of the owner, Elvir, who made our stay special. The location is ideal: very close to the Crooked Bridge (Kriva Ćuprija) and not far from the Old Bridge, but in a quiet area far enough away from the hordes of visitors who throng the streets near the Old Bridge. The hotel has been refurbished recently and all the furnishings and equipment are of high quality. Elvir persuaded us to change the room we had booked for a better one. Room 21 was spacious and had a pleasant little balcony which we would have made more use of if the weather had been better. The bed was very comfortable. There were a few coathangers and several hooks - unusual but very practical. Lighting in the room was good. The curtains kept out all unwanted light from outside. The shower in the bathroom was new and worked well. The water pressure was a little weak but we understand that is typical of the area. We would have found it useful to have some more shelves or surfaces on which to leave our toiletries. There is no breakfast but there is a bakery nearby and several restaurants that serve breakfast. There is no lift. You have to pay in cash. This is quite common in Bosnia. We used a mixture of euros and marks. Our host really made our stay specail He is very chatty! He was happy to give suggestions as to what to see in the area and where to eat in Mostar. It was may birthday during our stay and he lefft a little gift outside our door. If we return to Mostar we will try to stay at Villa Deny again.

Amazing stay in a perfect location. The place itself is really pretty, spotless, and very well maintained. The bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable, making it easy to relax after a long day. The hospitality truly stood out — everyone was super friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. Parking is available, which is a great added convenience. Would highly recommend and definitely stay again.

The hotel has a great location, it is located a few meters walk from the historic city center. The property is very pretty, our room with balcony, the top floor had a great view of the old town. I recommend the hotel for the great value for money, and also for the free parking available within the structure.
