Villa Nova

This is a bay side hotel close to a few bars and restaurants, so well located to enjoy the bay. Accommodation is spread over two buildings either side of the quiet road. Reception and breakfast is in the larger back block, and there is a pool on the roof. I was in a room on the south block, with a sea view and terrace which was stunning. The room itself was modern and well maintained, if a little basic. The a/d was poor though, so i slept with the terrace door open. There are steps to the hotels beach area with ladders into the sea. There were signs suggesting there is a charge to use the sunbeds and towels but I wasn't charged. Maybe this is for non-residents? The sea swimming was sensational here - such clear water. I was one of the last to breakfast and it was a disappointment! The next door restaurant, right on the bay to the right of the hotel was wonderful. there was a decent bar a few hundred yards to the left which also had a terrace overlooking the water.

Nice hotel with friendly staff. Rooms are spacious and clean. Food was good, buffet style but some of our party found some choices ilukewarm or cold. No bar area as such,you drink at your table. Location is handy for the rest of Neum. I would certainly stay there again.

A Newmarket Holiday. Lovely situated hotel with kind and helpful staff. A second tour arrived shortly after and while we had separate eating areas it was a bit of a bun fight at the buffet! Decent food - didn’t go hungry! Neum was fairly quiet with very few shops or restaurants open until 1st May, a national holiday in Bosnia. The hotel assisted us at lunchtime by ordering food in which was really helpful on the days we weren’t touring. Our room was serviced every day and was comfortable with a beautiful view over the water. Walk-in shower, powerful hairdryer. Kettle provided. Bosnia is a beautiful historic country and well worth a visit.
