Mais Hotel

The hotel is simple to deserve more than 2 stars. Positive points: Hotel building looks new, good breakfastm has accessibility for PCD, rooms with all the necessary accessories for travellers, (air conditioning, cable TV, fridge bar to be supplied, free WiFi), pool, sauna Negative points: The rooms (1002 and 1008) had a strong smell of urine when entering the room (it seems that no cleaning and hygienization was done), private parking and outsourced, but with an additional fee. There are no nearby amenities or amenities, but the hotel offers an on-site restaurant. If the room did not have so much smell of urine, until it is recommended.

My wife and I stayed 1 night, arriving by rental car at 2PM and parking in front to check in. An English speaking receptionist copied our passports, took our payment and provided our key cards. After moving the car to the basement garage, we took one of their two elevators to the 12th floor. Room #1205 was tiled and clean with a comfortable queen across a medium sized TV(CNN in English) with 20+ Portuguese channel, closet with shelf desk & chair with minibar below. A tight bathroom but spacious tile shower. Good lighting, AC & wifi, 5 outlets and a large opening window view of the city. We saw the small 15th floor rooftop pool and I used the lower floors 5 station gym. The 6AM breakfast buffet was excellent and nicely serviced: fresh fruit, fruit juices, muesli, yogurt, hot dishes, eggs, ham/turkey & cheeses, breads, cakes, coffee and hot milk. 300m W to Hiperideal Litoral Norte supermarket/Sam's Club and near 3 pizza restaurants. Overall, a good value hotel built in 2015 with 160 rooms.

The hotel is very good, with comfortable beds and a well served breakfast, with good availability of hot and cold meals. It has a small free parking at the door, but depends on luck to get one of the places. But paid parking costs only 12 reais per day. It has agile check-in and check-out and breakfast is served from 06:00, making it easy for those who have any commitment. It's a great cost-benefit.
