Hotel Pousada Imperial

A Rubbish! It says it's a Pousada, it's more like a POCILGA! On the street in front of the Hostel (which is NEVER a hotel or Inn as advertised). Horrible place! TERRIBLE reception! It looks like an abandoned place! Unprepared employees. No uniforms. It looked like a street market (Staff shouting, laughing loudly. A mess! We arrived at 2:20 pm, the room wasn't even ready. They asked for another 20 minutes. We went up to the room. In this stained walls! Broken doors! A horror scene! Worthy of a horror movie! The bathroom stall door kept opening. The water in the sink and shower (bath) came out ORANGE! AMAZING! ORANGE (see attached photos and video). TERRIBLE single bed! Old towels! Worn and torn! Bathroom with dirt accumulated on the floor! On the walls! Horror movie scene! The pool is slimy! A color that looked like it hadn't been cleaned in days... it was DISGUSTING just to look at it! We didn't stay for 30 minutes... I decided to leave because I thought I had booked a simple but worthy guesthouse to stay at! When I got there I saw that it was another pigsty! Without the slightest condition to stay! I contacted them to try for a full refund.. a free cancellation and it was denied. In other words, I feel INJURED! STOLEN! This is the feeling of impotence that remained after “getting that slap in the face from the manager” which is like laughing at our clown face for having paid 2 nights and not having enjoyed 30 minutes of the place, which was extremely precarious ! A mess! In short, my experience at this place is a SHAME/STEAL! UNFORTUNATE! If the manager wants to have the decency to contact me, I will leave my email here. Who knows? great breakfast, great internet, well located, good air conditioning, good mattresses, no chairs in the room, bad shower, good minibar but poorly located, does not provide free drinking water, bad pillows, no fan (March/2024 ).

It met expectations. I paid a good price, especially compared to others in that region, VERY well located, very good breakfast, calm staff don't bother you at all and whenever you need them they are there to help, no frills reception. Every inn has room for improvement, it wouldn't be any different with them, but I'm sure everyone who stays there will have a good vacation, I say with certainty, as I stayed for 7 days. Do you want a well-located, no-frills place? It's the ideal location.
