This well-maintained guest house is located in the midst of the historic district and is perfect for those who want to be in the center of things. The owners are extremely hospitable offering an attractive facility, good breakfast, and additional assistance, as needed. The WiFi is a bit week in the room, though the biggest drawback is being surrounded by music and the party atmosphere into the evening. If you are partying, too, or don't mind other people's good times, I would recommend these good hosts without hesitation.

I stayed 8 nights at Aquarela do Brasil and I felt very well. The location is in the center of pelourinho... Cesar & Edina are very lovely and helpful. They do everything to make their guests comfortable. The room and all the pousada are very clean, big breakfast... I recommand this place 100%.

Although the staff were quite helpful and went to some trouble to sort out my airline booking, I did not find the accommodation particularly enjoyable. The room was large with comfortable beds but there was no fridge, no tea and coffee facilities and whilst they made some tea when requested, we could not wake up and have a quick cup of tea. The door is always locked which means you have to call someone to let you in. Breakfast was very basic - we did not even realise we could have an omelette on the first day. It is not the fault of the hotel but a fact of life in Pelhourinho that bands play loudly until very late (or early!) I never did get the WIFI to work but maybe that was my fault and I found it easier to use wireless broadband instead.
