The Hotel is located in an upscale neighborhood about a 15-20 minute drive to most of the tourist locations (Historic Center). UBER and taxis are available and inexpensive. The breakfast offering is excellent with a broad selection for food, drink and dessert. Bruno works later in the afternoon, and his English is appreciated when answering questions and giving advice. ALL service staff are friendly. The boat tours are sketchy and unreliable. I reserved Ilha dos Frades and they cancelled due to "too much wind" and then would not reschedule later that weekend? I tried another option and it was a disappointment. I heard positive remarks from locales about their Carnival here and I may return during the sunny months, December - March.

Excellent hotel with everything you need for a happy stay in Salvador. Concierges and trunks, especially Juan Pablo, very helpful and willing to help in what we need, in addition to speaking Spanish. Breakfast abundant, varied, nothing is missing. Comfortable rooms and spacious bathroom.
