Pampulha Design Hotel

The hotel is a lot beautiful, the reception is excellent, the room is very clean and the food on the menu/restaurant is also excellent. Definitely a great option to spend the day with couples and family. However it is a terrible option for business hosting. The internet in some rooms does not work even when you indicate the need to use it! Hotel staff, pay attention to guest requests when booking! To others, a good option for short periods.

The positive: the small space in front of the hotel is super pleasant, the terrace on the second flour is also nice. The region is wonderful, the hotel lies on northern side of Lake Pampulha and looks towards the famous Igreja São Francisco by Oscar Niemeyer. Walking on the border of the lake is delicious. The negative: the rooms are absolutely bare bones, extremely simple, with white led lights that give a hospital feeling. Moreover, mostly anything you normally find in a hotel room you have to ask for, bedsheets, glasses, and what not. I asked them if this was standard and they answered in the affirmative: "you just have to ask". Very nice, and the staff really is very nice, but definitely a strange procedure. Also, the rooms do not have a view, most unfortunately there are no rooms with lake view. Still, in spite of all this, it seems to be the best option around Pampulha lake, which is really a good area to stay.

This hotel is located in the North part o Belo Horizonte right in front Lagoa da Pampulha. Even if you are not going to participate in the race, it is a good option for stay. It is quiet and calm. and you can also exercise on the boardwalk of Lagoa da Pampulha with a great view.
