Pousada Sao Luis

I liked the hostel! I went by bus to Gold Black! I went down the highway and walked to the guesthouse! About 5 minutes! Access for pedestrians is good! It is reasonably close to Tiradentes Square! Only the round that is a little tired by the excess of slopes in the city! But it's not the guilt of the hostel! Almost the whole city is surrounded by slopes. The staff are very attentive! In the evening, I ordered a snack for ifood. I also found the breakfast nice! Don't wait for luxury, even because the hostel doesn't promise it! But delivered a accommodation reasonably compatible with the price and the advertised.

It is sincerely one of the worst hotels I’ve encountered in my life… no kidding aside. It was a complete rip off and not worth a single penny we paid for it. Found it on internet on our way to Belo Horizonte from Sao Paulo, and since we were driving, we decided to get to know this beautiful, colonial, historical and picturesque town, former capital of the state of Minas Gerais. But since this review is about the hotel, I’ll make it simple. Not worth it! Just a few details: • Overprized! Were charged 25% more for the “second floor view”? When we got there we found out the first floor wasn’t even sold (Rip off) • Found hair in the bed (not kidding!) • Bathroom small and toilet DID NOT FLUSH (they found out next morning that some water system was closed outside) • The shower door did not close properly • Breakfast was lousy, to say the minimum. To not keep going further, stay away from this place, really!
