Location really is key here. The hotel is close to the beach and to the airport and has really competitive prices. However, the place could really use some renewals, which makes choosing a room there a real hit-or-miss. We were meant to stay at a bigger room that included access to a balcony. The problem was that the room smelled bad and was kind of depressing, so we asked to change. The new one was in a difference price range (it was a standard room, with no balcony), but we had no discount. It was marginally better than the other, but we decided to stay.
The staff was friendly and the pool and the bar are really cool, but the overall experience was really not the best.
