Pousada Sol da Manha

Located away from Angra dos Reis downtown, in a bay of quiet waters, the inn offers comfort in new and well maintained facilities. The staff is kind and a nice breakfast is served at tables overlooking the sea. There are some options for snacks, lunch and diner as well. A weak point is the tight parking, which forces you to leave the keys available so that other guests can come and go with their cars. Nothing to hurt. A point to be noted is that the terrain is steep, which forced construction in 3 different levels. If you have difficulty with stairs, think twice before booking.

The owner's son, Fred, was a great help during our stay - as he spoke English and gave us some tips on where to visit. We hired his boat for the day and despite the weather not being the best it was still a good day out and see the smaller islands with a bit of snorkelling. Got to see some wild turtles!! I would do this part again. The bedrooms were rather basic, which was ok but the towels needed totally replacing and the toilets, like many in Brazil did not like having toilet tissue put in them. Breakfast was rather basic and limited, could have done with a better selection. Pool was rather small and not the cleanest. Overall rather expensive for what it was when compared to other hotels we stayed at in Brazil. The rooms were not made up in the mornings - not sure why. Probably would not stay again.

The beautiful place, very quiet, If you want to spend some time with nature it is a great place. The owner of the hotel is a nice man, he is very kind and can help you in any question. Thank you so much. We visited some nice place like Ilha Grande and the Blue Lake by a small boat from the hotel. It was so great ! Many thanks
