It is a grand hotel with an excellent location. The facilities are top-notch, but while there, one realizes the cost of its maintenance. Dirty rooms, decaying furniture, and lack of maintenance. Details that fail and lower the hotel's level to a simple, well-located accommodation. It is impossible for management to have control and maintain a hotel without the correct investment. The staff uniforms were huge, outrageous, the service was good enough... Perhaps a direct reflection of the salary... Mirrors never clean, windows to the sea dirty, the pool water opaque from so much use... Corners with dust. Dirty and rusty metal chrome... Rough towels, everything solvable and improvable with more investment in the hotel staff... It could be a luxury to stay there, however it does not measure up... Sad because you can feel the loss.

Dirty rooms, broken old ones..

Average. Nice breakfast spread in the morning, the only real plus. Major cons include - front desk staff knows very little English - wifi is absolutely horrible. Wouldn’t do anything to fix it. - TV has only Portuguese channels, and quality of signal is poor. - housekeeping in frequently doesn’t show unless you remind the front desk to remind them. And nobody at front desk seems to give two s***s.
