Pousada Ouro Verde

The pushada is very dirty, the rooms are very damp and without lights. After you leave your things will smell moldy. If you are a cleanliness maniac then run away .. because it is very expensive to stay in a dirty place. The pushada is quite far and its access is worse than the cobblestone streets of paraty. Beyond the cleanliness the owner is not very friendly (especially avoid asking her to organize a transfer from Rio or others .. nothing will be done, just like excursions) it is better to go live with the companies. The inn is in a very quiet, pleasant area and has a waterfall passing by. Breakfast is exquisite with fruit salad, yogurt, natural juice, bread, cold cuts, eggs, jams... some items are homemade, which is a difference. Comfortable room, everything clean, hairdryer available, glass shower, minibar and ceiling fan was sufficient as the suite is very cool. It didn't smell musty. Friendly owner and gave lots of tour tips. The guesthouse is uphill and therefore it is a good walk from the pier to get there. Difficult for those with mobility difficulties.
