Wonderful hosting, impeccable service, we loved it! Made the wedding day even more special

I just stayed 2 nights of initially 8 nights reserved. Fortunately I could cancel the rest. The moment you enter the building you know it’s not up to Mercure standards. It’s maximum a 3 star hotel (with lots of goodwill from my part). Firstly wifi was never,ever working, then there was no Diamond Status recognition, well hardly. We got an upgrade to a bigger o3 room with barely any furniture. Ah yes, no wifi either, streaming? Forget about it. Only like 8 tiresome terrestrial channels. I had to use all my wifi data, how about that for a Mercure. The lobby looked like a Walmart cafeteria. But an old and torn one. It takes time to have such dirty armchairs like they had. The staff, especially the men , had no clue what they were doing at the reception. The furniture inside the room also worn and torn, we had to have some bedsheets exchanged due to unidentifiable stains (eeek) in them. Dead flies and mosquitoes in the breakfast area ,cleaning the floor while guest are seating having a meal is another benefit of this place. At least they tried to I,press us by cleaning. Probably the first time ever. The walls all dirty and stained, windows same thing. Ah yes, noisy on the weekends,and we stayed in the last floor. It’s like there windows had no glass in them. Unbelievable. Well you get the point. This place wouldn’t even be an ibis budget in Liberia ,but apparently in the state of Rio no one cares. I was shocked to see such an Ill-kept Mercure. It’s hard to find a worse one, undoubtedly. Run ! Get the Montblanc Hotel in front of this one.

No way this is a mercure. No way. From the moment you enter you see a noisy huge hallway with no one at the reception desk, after 2 minutes or more someone absolutely unqualified for the job tries her/his best (nothing) to accommodate you. The rooms are a true fiasco,although being on the 12th floor you can exactly listen to the noise at the entrance level. It is exactly as if there are no windows. Being Accor top member I got a kgb type room(it's a bigger one and really called like this) but even this room was dirty and even though it came with a kitchen it did not come with even 1 spoon or a pot. Nada! Soooo ridiculous. The entrance lobby, the furniture were reeking of dirt and neglect . This is at best a 2 star hotel. It's not worth even bothering with staying here. Of all the worst hotels Accor has this is the very worse. Wi-Fi was never working, forget about streaming and on weekends it's absolute hell as noisy, untalented artists try their best in the adjacent bars to scare away everyone. TERRIBLE PLACE !
