Paraty has a unique colonial atmosphere with lots of cafes and restaurants. We loved this hotel although it is hard to describe exactly why! I think maybe the combination of tasteful decor and the colonial architecture as well as the v friendly service all of which contributed to this very relaxing atmosphere. Whilst the hotel was full it did not feel busy and the pool in their courtyard area was v welcome as was the sauna and massage. Definitely good choice in Paraty.

Conveniently located hotel - Cocooning room – lack of hair cape for shower – no teapot in the room, no pods – hearty breakfast (but hot chocolate arrives very lukewarm). Pleasant staff
