I know it's one of the cheapest one in São Leopoldo but the room was smelling badly, air-conditioned did a strong noise...all the time! One of the receptionist was a bit rude. Anyway it isn't a place I'll come back.

Travelers who are used to European hotels will feel quite at home here. The rooms are quite small but with everything you need for business travel. Adequate wifi, fridge, small tv in upper corner, strong shower with working hot and cold water,...The breakfast buffet is ample, varied and tasty. It's served sometimes at the Express itself and other times at the Suarez, a sister property two doors down. The Suarez has a full service restaurant but the cuisine is not very interesting. Location is excellent, being 3 blocks from the light rail that runs to Porto Alegre and the airport very cheaply. For homesick Americans, it is also easy walking distance from the Bourbon Shopping Center, which has a US style supermarket, shopping mall, and food court complete with a couple of well known American burger joints. The main drawbacks are the street noise -- the rooms have individual ac units which you will need to use to mask it, and the lack of any good finer dining options nearby (as far as could be determined by an admittedly very brief exploration). Hotel staff are very helpful though minimally English speaking. This is a good hotel for solo and business travelers. I don't get the impression that it's geared to, or would be very appropriate for families, especially with small children.
